Fashion

As a child, I loved playing dress-up and performing in school plays. Later, as a photographer, I spent years documenting serious stories around the world. After so much intensity, I needed a breath of fresh air, and I found it in fashion.

Living in New York City, I began photographing haute couture fashion weeks. The real excitement was backstage, where models, designers, and moments of transformation unfolded if you earned their trust. My work began to be published, and soon foreign designers invited me to photograph their newest collections in England, Italy, and Japan.

I loved that world for a time, its beauty and creativity, its freedom to imagine. But eventually, I missed the texture of real life outside those studios. Still, fashion remains a place where my imagination runs free.
