The Secret Garden of

As photographers, we often tell the stories of others. But sometimes we must turn inward, exploring the landscapes within ourselves and reckoning with the things we’ve witnessed in the world.

The Secret Garden is where I allow myself to be wild and free. Lily, my alter ego, lives there. In the garden, I am the maiden standing on a hilltop, wind in my hair, watching the horizon for ships carrying treasures from afar. I am the wild horse running across endless plains, the eagle soaring with wings stretched wide to the wind.

This is where my untamed creative spirit lives—where imagination has no borders and joy returns like breath itself. The Secret Garden is an ongoing project made possible through the generous support of the Guggenheim Foundation.
