Science

Both of my parents were scientists, and their curiosity shaped the way I see the world. I’ve always loved science, not from not necessarily from a laboratory perspective, but as something deeply human. Through my photography, I try to bring science down from its pedestal and make it personal, something we can feel and understand.

Science holds the secrets of everything, and though I could never be a scientist myself, I’ve had the great privilege of interpreting its wonder through images. Over the years, I’ve photographed a range of science stories for National Geographic Magazine, each one reminding me that discovery is as much about emotion as it is about evidence.
